Frequently asked questions.
How far in advance do you take bookings?
The sooner the better for me! I take bookings up to a year in advance, but I also leave room for last minute bookings, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
How soon after my inquiry can I book?
That’s up to you! I like to get to know you a little bit, so I generally send out an email with a bunch of questions and I prefer to have that responded to before we shoot the session. The faster you get back to me, the quicker we can plan your session!
“My kids won’t sit still for an hour, my kids have high energy, they won’t cooperate”…. How do you deal with this?
My sessions revolve around your children. I believe they set the tone for the shoot and I always work with them by engaging with their needs. My goal is to have you moving as much as possible during your session because that provides the most real and emotive images. The less you try to control your children, the better. Your job as their parent is to just interact with them as much as possible on their level.
I don’t need a lot of images, do you offer mini sessions?
I typically do not do family mini sessions. Mini sessions don’t allow for enough time for me to get the really authentic, emotive images that you are coming to me for. The only time I do family mini sessions is at Christmas. However, I do offer women’s empowerment mini sessions and motherhood sessions several times a year.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, I do! Let’s chat about what can work for you!
Will I need to purchase my digital files from you after I’ve paid the session fee?
I am what is called an “all inclusive” photographer. I don’t charge separate fees for my session and the digital files. You receive all the images at high resolution so you can choose when to print and how large to print whenever you want. I also include one fine art print in your package so you still get to choose one gorgeous image to enlarge and it’s on me!
Why do I need to fill out a questionnaire for you?
My goal with each session I do is to fully show up for you. I think about your session and what it will look like and how I will capture you and/or your family from the moment you inquire about a session. The questionnaire helps me do the job you are hiring me for. The more of your story I know, the more authentic your session will be to who you are.
