This weekend is all about YOU. A retreat created for you to dive into who you are and how you want to creatively explore. Workshops and sessions are for you to push your boundaries, to step out of the safe place you’ve allowed yourself to stay in and to break all those silly rules.

What’s Included
*accommodations for 2 nights at a beautiful airbnb in Broad Cove, NS
*delicious and nourishing meals, snacks, coffee and tea. You will not go hungry. (if you would like to have alcohol, this is up to you to bring!)
*2 editing sessions: 1) to go over my own style of editing and 2) composite editing to create layered images, both designed to challenge you to think outside the box and bring your soul into your work.
*3 photo sessions to build your portfolio as well as push yourself creatively. These include a portrait session, a family session, and a couples session.
*myself and all the wisdom and knowledge I have accumulated over the years I have been creating. Any and all questions are welcome and encouraged.

about your host
Deedee Morris is an awe-inspiring photographer whose work is not only beautifully raw, but is also incredibly honest. She dives in deep with her subjects, getting to know them on a personal and spiritual level, and is then able to capture a single moment that portrays their vulnerable individuality in stunning ways. Her work celebrates family, motherhood, self-understanding, and love of the natural world, all of which are outward expressions of her own values and ambitions. Deedee’s pursuit of authenticity is a rare and powerful experience.
FAQ’S
Can I just come for a day?
Yes, a single day rate is 500+tax, if you would like to come for the full retreat, but not stay overnight, it’s 995+tax
Does the menu consider food restrictions?
Yes! I will be sending out an email to all participants before the weekend so you can let me know any allergies/dietary restrictions you might have.
Do you do payment plans?
Absolutely. I can tailor a plan to fit your needs. Contact me to inquire.
What if I get sick and I can’t come?
I completely understand that this is something that can’t be controlled and we would really miss you! There is a 500$ non refundable deposit, but the remainder of the fees can be switched to another retreat within one year of the retreat originally signed up for.
I only shoot film, can I still come?
For sure! The images you take are for your use, and we won’t be critiquing them within the time of the retreat. I tell our models that they will receive images from everyone, but the only person responsible for actually delivering images is me.
I’m just a beginner, is that okay?
YES! As long as you are using an SLR camera, and understand the basics of photography, you can attend. This is for all levels and you won’t feel left behind.
I’m only interested in photography for personal expression, not as a business. Is the retreat still applicable?
Yes! And, there is generally a lot of business talk between those who do run it as a business. We have always had one or two women attend who aren’t interested in it as a business and this retreat will 💯 push you in your personal creative journey. Let’s chat more if you’re interested!
What’s your cancellation policy?
Once your deposit is paid, seats are transferable but non refundable, minus the deposit.
