It is by loving, and not by being loved, that one can come nearest the soul of another; yea, that, where two love, it is the loving of each other, that originates and perfects and assures their blessedness.” George MacDonald

I don’t think there is a more emotional session than a birth. I don’t shoot a lot of births, but every time I do, I’m on an exhausted high for days.

This is from her mama:

“Do you believe in second chances? I do.

After an excruciatingly long labour, I met my new baby girl yesterday at 12:19pm. She was born at home in the comfort of my own bed surrounded by Lukas, two her Aunties, my amazing friend and photographer, and a talented and supportive birth team.

Weighing in at 8lbs 15oz and at 21.5 inches, she is my largest baby. She decided to enter the world in a posterior position just like her sister which coupled with her weight made for a challenging experience. But together we did it and are both very happy and healthy!

World meet Scarlett Esme Swan, my second chance.”
